ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Anna Cerveny is the founder of Cleveland Dance Project (CDP), a dance and wellness professional 501c3 company, which was created to fill a community need for health education and movement for dancers and non-dancers alike.  Anna founded CDP in 2017 to provide training, choreography, and performance opportunities to adults from beginner to professional levels.

Currently, Anna works at University Hospitals as a lead therapist/clinical specialist and the founder of UH's dance rehabilitation program, where she works with local dancers, including Cleveland Ballet and Case Western’s dance program. After graduating with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University in 2013, Anna spent a year traveling internationally as the physical therapist for the Broadway play, "WarHorse."

She received her BS in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon and spent much of her time during school dancing, choreographing, and directing her university's respective dance organizations. Anna grew up training at Royal School of Ballet, with summer programs at Bengbu Ballet, BalletMet, and Nutmeg Conservatory.

Anna directs, trains, performs, and choreographs in her dance studio. The space is dedicated to dance and fitness classes, as well as holistic health education/services, and a gathering place for wellness-focused communities.
