Doozy Pots

Plant-based gelato brand from Wonderlab

About the organization

Doozy Pots was a plant-based gelato made by Wonderlab, a family-owned, female-led Cleveland food company founded by food scientist Kirsten Sutaria and her husband and business partner, Karl Sutaria. Kirsten had spent about a decade developing ice cream, including non-dairy flavors for Ben & Jerry's. The name came from her Grandma Bea, who called her "such a doozy pots" whenever she made a creative mess in the kitchen.

Instead of coconut or vegetable oils, Doozy Pots was made from organic hemp and whole oats with organic, regenerative and fair trade ingredients, in flavors like Chocolate Mint Chip and Banana Cinnamon Date Swirl. It was sold at Heinen's and, from 2021, at Sprouts stores nationwide. Wonderlab stopped operating in 2023.
