I'm From Cleveland

Cleveland culture media outlet and clothing brand

About the organization

I'm From Cleveland calls itself the voice of Cleveland culture: a media outlet covering the city's music, events, food, sports and people, with more than 370,000 followers on Instagram alone. It began in 2010 as a YouTube channel that co-founder John Stursa started in his childhood bedroom at 13, and grew into a digital zine for Cleveland hip-hop after Eric Vajda joined; the name came from a city-promo mixtape Vajda made with rapper Chip Tha Ripper.

IFC has worked with brands including the NBA and Playhouse Square, supports hundreds of small businesses across the city and runs its own premium Cleveland clothing line, with an office on St. Clair Avenue in MidTown.
