Opus 216

OPUS 216 is a Cleveland string ensemble of classically trained, professional musicians, with the motto "Classically Trained. Unbound by Genre." Violinist Ariel Clayton Karas founded the group in 2012, and its first performance was at the first MIX night at the Cleveland Museum of Art.

The ensemble is modular, adapting to any instrumentation, and plays everything from Bach and Beethoven to the Beatles, along with original music, covers and studio sessions. It performs year-round across Northeast Ohio, from public stages and galas to weddings and house concerts, and has worked with the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Cleveland International Piano Competition, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Sofar Sounds Cleveland and the Cleveland Institute of Music, among others.
