People Inc

People Inc. is a nonprofit health and human services agency serving Western New York and the Greater Rochester region. Founded on August 14, 1970, by a small group of parents and professionals who wanted better lives for people with developmental disabilities, it now employs nearly 5,000 staff and supports thousands of people each year, with administrative offices in Williamsville and Rochester.

Its services include residences, day and vocational programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, health and home care, senior programs and affordable housing. Its Deaf Access Services offers ASL interpreting and CART captioning, ASL classes and community education, career help and peer support for Deaf and hard of hearing people.
