Aimee Crane
Artemis Brand Manager, NASA
Bio
Aimee Crane is a graphic designer and communication strategist who helps the public understand NASA's human deep space exploration. As Artemis brand manager for NASA, she designed the mission patch for Artemis I, which flew with the Orion spacecraft on its trip around the Moon.
Crane earned her BFA (2009) and MFA (2012) in Visual Communication Design at Kent State University, where she was a founding student of The Tannery, now IdeaBase. An internship at NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland led to a contractor role on the Orion spacecraft communications team, where she spent about eight years using technical, graphic and information design to tell the story of the Space Launch System rocket, Orion and the deep space gateway through exhibits, visuals and education outreach. In March 2020 she joined the Artemis Communications team at NASA Headquarters, where her work covers communication plans, infographics, presentations and outreach to museums, schools and the public.
