Won Time In Twenty

Dear CreativeMornings Team, VIRTUAL EVENT TOMORROW.

I can’t find the words I want. They’re all in my head but none of them are quite fitting together to make a complete thought, something that makes sense. That about sums up how I’m feeling for this month’s CreativeMornings, for life in general right now. No matter how much I try, I’m just missing the pieces to make anything complete.

There are moments of clarity, when I’m able to tip a domino for some pride, passion, for a spark of connection, creativity, or joy. To be honest, it’s an impossibly fleeting thing. When I open the digital periscope to see what others are up to and how they’re doing I see the same things… coping with comedy, with cooking, with recreation and exercise. People thinking deeply and searching for purpose in the midst of feeling loss for many things that once felt essential. It’s cool to see “silver linings” appear, but the moment you may be glad, guilt follows promptly for feeling gratitude for any piece of this experience, people are dying, lives are being destroyed. ( yells, paces empty apartment in silence)

Last month, it felt cute to host a “Virtual” event, it was great but this is not what I signed up for. For all of its benefits, I kinda hate the internet. This month, I can’t believe this is how life is now and we’re still doing this… but we have a choice, between despair and hope, so I’ll see you in the morning with bells on. Also, I think that even amongst everything going on, there’s a good chance our speaker will be able to fill us all with a little hope as well.

There isn’t too much to do other than login, be present, but if you know anyone who would be good to give an espresso pitch tomorrow please let me know! And there is lots of room, please feel free to share the invitation to attend the event (however you have to register to receive a link to the zoom)

Tomorrow’s Timeline:

8:00 am we will email the zoom conference link to all registered attendees. You Must Register to Receive an event Link.
