The Bop Stop is an intimate listening room at 2920 Detroit Avenue, at West 29th Street in Hingetown, with sweeping views of Lake Erie. Tiered seating and an open floor plan mean there's not a bad seat in the house, and it is an all-ages venue with its own parking lot.
The club was donated to The Music Settlement in late 2013, and the Settlement's staff now book everything on its stage, from up-and-coming acts to established names, with sales helping support the Settlement's programs. All About Jazz named it the Top Jazz Club in the United States in 2019, and past performers include Joe Lovano, Benny Golson, The Bad Plus and Terence Blanchard.
