Bonbon Pastry & Cafe

Bonbon Pastry & Cafe was a vintage-styled bakery and cafe at 2549 Lorain Avenue in Ohio City. Owner Courtney Bonning grew it from an online business, The Bonbon Bake Shop, into a European-style cafe after competing on Food Network's Cupcake Wars. Bonbon made everything from hand-made croissants to special-occasion cakes, served a brunch-style menu all day, catered events, and earned a following for its breakfasts.

After about five years, Bonning sold the business to Fady Chamoun of Aladdin's Eatery. Bonbon closed after New Year's Eve 2016, and the space reopened as Boaz Cafe.
