City Club of Cleveland

1317 Euclid Ave., Suite 100, Cleveland, OH, 44115

The City Club of Cleveland is one of the nation's oldest continuous independent free speech forums. Founded in 1912, in the Progressive Era, it is known for debate and discussion: for more than a century its speakers, from sitting presidents to community activists, have taken unfiltered, unrehearsed questions straight from the audience. In 2023 the club moved into its sixth home, a ground-floor storefront with street-facing windows at 1317 Euclid Avenue in Playhouse Square, the former F.W. Woolworth store, after 40 years at 850 Euclid Avenue.
