University Circle Inc.

University Circle Alliance, known until October 2026 as University Circle Inc., is the nonprofit working to strengthen University Circle, Cleveland's district of arts, culture, education and health. It improves public spaces, promotes the district and builds community by bringing its institutions, businesses, civic partners and residents together, with a shared vision of University Circle as a place where locals belong and the world is welcomed.

It began in 1957 as the University Circle Development Foundation, which assembled land for the district's museums, universities and hospitals and added shared services such as public safety, parking and shuttles. It became University Circle Inc. in 1970. Today its work includes the Connecting the Circle public-realm plan, the Harrison Dillard Trail and free summer programs like Wade Oval Wednesdays.
