Kohl Executive Director, moCa Cleveland

Megan Lykins Reich is the Kohl Executive Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (moCa). She began at the museum as an intern in 2001, joined its staff in 2004 and worked her way up through curatorial and leadership roles. As deputy director she led the museum's strategic plan, oversaw its engagement department and worked on strategic exhibition projects. She became interim director in 2020, and after a national search the board named her executive director in January 2022, citing her commitment to putting art and artists at the center of the museum's work.

A curator as well as an administrator, Reich has organized more than two dozen exhibitions at moCa, including There Goes the Neighborhood, Duke Riley: An Invitation to Lubberland and DIRGE: Reflections on [Life and] Death. She was the Emily Hall Tremaine Curatorial Fellow at moCa and a Contemporary Art Fellow at the Cleveland Museum of Art. She graduated as valedictorian of Penn State's School of Visual Arts with degrees in art history and studio art, and earned an MA in art history and museum studies at Case Western Reserve University, where she also pursued doctoral studies.
