Folks, the days are quickly getting shorter and we’re in the thick of deep work time.
This interruption to your inbox is brought to you by an ugly word… disinterest. Universal disinterest in anything normal. Your disinterest. My disinterest. We’ve both shown up on this page looking for a break, something different than the patterns repeating in our routines. It can be hard to find something that meets that need, AND that’s good for us, like a healthy snack for your attention. When we go to the same old places with the same old folks eating the same old food and hearing, seeing, tasting, smelling, feeling, thinking the same old things in the same old ways, I’ll turn up the volume so you know I mean it: I’M NOT DOWN WITH THAT.
Ok, my digression is nearly done and close to the point I’d like to make and then we can chat about the awesome plans for Greyt Big Talk this month and beyond. There’s a lot we do by design to keep turning over rocks, to make a system for finding new things - and thus new opportunities for us, and for all of you to be a little inspired for your own next step. I love it, and yet, I often want to burn the plans because once anything is cultivated - it is, by definition, no longer “In The Wild.”
There are different types of trips you can take to get out there in the big danger, the unknown, the other parts. I hope this series serves as a group safari of sorts for friends and colleagues in make-believe - but also that you take the time to be free from the trail, your own guides. -Thomas
